Rokeby School has donated another £860 to Footsteps from money raised from the sale of Rokeby desks and from the parents and boys on ‘Bring a Teddy Bear’ day with the author David Benedictus whose most recent work is the Winnie-the-Pooh novel Return to the Hundred Acre Wood (2009)..
It is our plan to put the funds raised towards buying desks for the schools we have built in Kenya. Although there are now many more good classrooms in place, there is often a dire shortage of desks.
We would also like to thank Rokeby for the fabulous sports uniform they have passed on to us. We will be taking them over to Kenya with us in July next year and we will be sure to get some photographs of the Kenyan boys and girls kitted out in their Rokeby Sports kit.
